Dear Mick and other band members,
This was my first and also the last concert I’ve visit, but certainly not because it was bad or something! Why do you quit! I’m only 17 years old, but I’ve loved this music since I was a little child. You as a band do still have a future! I’ve bought the DVD of the farewell tour in Sydney, I really love it. During the concert I also noticed that Mick was not at his best, comparing to other concerts I’ve seen on youtube. He was also wearing his sunglasses all the time, I wanted to see his eyes to see emotion! Afterall, I really enjoyed the concert.

Dear Simply Red members,
I was invited by my brothers to the final concert of Simply Red last december at Arnhems Gelredome. In the past I liked some songs of Simply Red, but by far I was not a fan of the group. Since the concert on 10th December you may consider me as a die hard fan. I was overwhelmed by the performance of Simply Red, the authentic voice of Nick and the incredible quality of the bandmembers. The music and sang were even better than on the records. We bought the USB stick with this life concert and I enjoy this every day. Because of the high quality I searched for prove that it was not a life performance, but I couldn’t find it. The negative comments of 1 of the “fans” on this blog for me is inconseivable. Thanks for this perfect night and good luck in the future with all the new things for all of the bandmembers.
I’m sorry to say I have to agree with Petra. Mick didn’t seem to be feeling well and I also missed the backing vocals of Sarah and Dee… some songs just don’t sound the same without them. Technically a good concert.
I hope that there will be a good explanation what has happened during this concert and that Mick just had a bad day!
The show started with slow songs and the public was not amused during the first five numbers. Also it seemed like Mick was not having fun at all.

Why do you stop??? It was fantastic
It wasn’t wat we were hoping for..the last show suposed to be one with a BANG in it..the groove, the spirit that drives people in one big happy-modus. The last show didn’t do anything of a kind. People come from al over Europe and for what…emotionless…sure the songs performed where technicaly good…but was about it.…shame shame shame!!!!
I have deeply enjoyed this special concert, like many others in the past few years in London and Holland. I even stood on the stage of the Teatro de Havana a year after the concert at Cuba, just to feel the wonderfull atmosphere out there and the DVD SR Cuba still makes my feet dance the latin rhytm in the songs of SR.
With the Farewell Tour Simply Red closes a very very special period of great Music. Thankyou Simply Red, thankyou Mick!

Thank you for an amazing concert, it was really strolling down memory lane. I do hope we will hear or see from you again somewhere in the future, don’t forget us dutchies. We, my husband and I, were very disapointed. This concert was the worsed one of all Simply Red concerts we have seen. And we have seen 5 of them.We missed Dee and Sarah. The setlist was dissapointing. At the HMH Mick promissed he wuld play all the songs the fans liked most. He didn’t play Home, Home loan blues and a lot more songs that the fans like. We will remember the concert at the HMH whit a great smile on our face, because it was fantastic, and forget this one, it was not a good one. And those sunglasses.….
Farewell, farewell I sincerely hope it will not be the case But if,my sons and I have had an memorable evening witch we never will forget.
This man can sing, several times goose skin on my arms and at the latest song: THE MAN with his guitar I cried.
Please let me and my sons experience this one more time!
We’ve had a great concert last friday, the way he song that day was better than on cd. YEAH he got soul!!Maybe he’ll return after a few years just like all the others. But this one is in our heart..

I travelled all the way from Turkey to see this concert at the Gelredome in Arnhem. It was the first time in 25 Years that I managed to see a concert. Just FANTASTİC. I sang and danced and had a great time.
My whole life was in this concert… Thankyou Simply Red for being with me with your music for the most important times in my life.
I couldn’t be there because of the wheater, i’ve been crying so much , i look out for the new dvd, hopefully i can order it soon in holland.
Just love the concert! Glad we got the USB stick and listened to the whole concert all over again.

I was at the concert in Arnhem gelredome. And i have seen
more concerts the where better. I have one word for this
concert en that is Bad! The music where bad en the lichting also bad.
It was such great performance. We have really enjoyed it a lot not only from the show itself with all the lights en sound quality but also from the atmosfere and the emotion. The connection from Mick to the public was so intense that lots of people have forgetten where they are, specially when we sing the songs all together. Mick has such beautiful and attractive voice that always brings good memory to our life. We sang and we have danced. We find it such pitty that this will be the last tour from the band. We really like to be in the concert from the band again one day if the band will be back again. Thanks a lot for all these years of good company and good music to our ears. Of course we’ll keep listening to you, Mick!

I have been to a lot of concerts of Simply Red, and all of them were great! Also the last one in Arnhem, but I have to say I missed Dee and Sarah. But all the musicians and of course Mick himself were great as usual! Thanks for all the music you have given me this 25 years (and more), I will allways stay one of your biggest fans and very much in love with Mick! ;-)

I had a great time. I was truly impressed by the voice of Mick. He sounds live even better than on a cd! This is by far the best concert I ever went to. Touched by all the emotions he put in his voice.

Hi, this concert was unfortunately not what I have expected. A lot of people complained after the concert, at which Mick only sang not more that 90 minuted.
The music was sometimes bad, the band was not compleet, Mick was wearing sunglasses and did not took them of at any time. The show started with slow songs and the public was not amused during the first five numbers. Also it seemed like Mick was not having fun at all.
I’m a simply red fan from the beginning and I will remember their concert last year at The Heineken Music Hall which was fantastic!

It was.….….….SUPER! Great sound, great voice and great atmosphere. Too bad it has to end but then again, we have the memory of yesterday evening. Thanks guys for a wonderful performance.
Went to Gelredome with my 2 sisters. All excited and all the excitement was not for nothing. What à great show!!! Nice intro with movie of all the songs placed in time order of wordly (political) events. Have to say that we missed the girls as background singers and it would have been nicer to see Mick without sunglasses, but that has nothing to do with his performance ofcourse. It was absolutely wonderful and al the musicians were at their best too. Couldn’t find the simfylive stand but hopefully that is something that can be arranged through the internet. Hopefully the USB-stick contains movie footage of the concert, so we can relive the moment. Thanks Mick and Simply Red for this great show and 25 years of great songs!!!!!!!!!!

Really à great show, we enjoyed it a lot.
just got back from the arnhem concert mick still has a great voice and the other bandmembers are professionals but after losing john and chris the girls(sarah dee) have gone too some songs need the girls i have seen a good show tonight 90 minutes really to short compliments for the light and video graphics show the best i have seen on a simply red tour sunday my last simply red concert ever in antwerpen mick please 15 minutes longer
