Here’s a photo from Simply Red’s sold out show in Bra­silia last night. It was a beau­ti­ful sold out gig right in front of the lake –all the boats on the lake pulled up really close so as the band were walk­ing onto the stage there we’re loads of cheers and boats toot­ing. Mick & the band had a great time — they stayed for a lovely BBQ after­wards pre­pared by a local chef.

Simply Red’s last ever show will be on Sunday 19th Decem­ber 2010 at the O2 in Lon­don. Tick­ets go on gen­eral sale on Fri­day but in an attempt to secure you the best seats we are hav­ing an exclus­ive pre-sale from our web­site shop start­ing at 4pm on Monday 19th April. Simply Red’s first date in Chile has sold out so a second show has just been added. Simply Red will now per­form there on April 28th and 29th, see our tour sec­tion for details of how to buy tick­ets for the second date.

Simply Red are going to per­form at the North Sea Jazz Fest­ival in Cur­açao in Septem­ber — see here for more details.

If you would like to see Mick’s per­form­ance on Italian TV show “Stasera è La Tua Sera” which was broad­cast last night you can see it now if you go here and choose that pro­gramme from the list of recent shows below. You might have to install Microsoft Sil­ver­light on your com­puter to view it but that only takes a few minutes. Mick is first on about 01.34 (which you can run for­ward to) then on and off til 01.44, sur­pris­ing a woman singing “Money’s Too Tight (To Men­tion)” then he’s back on at around 02.05 to close the show with two more songs.
