Fantastic concert. Absolutely brilliant, once again. Would go again tomorrow if I could. Mick and whole band were amazing. Great album and even better live. Looking forward to the tour next year.

Wow what a brill night, it was amazing, sill on a bit of a high, i managed to get all band members to sign my programme and mick too which was great, what a wonderfull birthday treat that was. you could just see in micks face how passionate he is about his music and thats just great, thats what makes a fantastic show. thank you to mick and the band, it was just great, relaxed and you all looked stunning suited and booted. thank you again
- Sarah

What a fantastic night! We thoroughly enjoyed every second. You as usual Mick sang beautifully. The band were fantastic too, I especially loved the saxophone. What a tribute to BB. Good luck with the rest of the tour. Please always remember Bristol for future events. We are still floating today. You have made a Monday at work quite enjoyable for a change!
- Linda & Lin

What a fantastic night, and in my home town at last, after all these years! Thanks Mick for giving us the chance to listen to some wonderful music. You done the old songs proud. Good luck for the rest of the tour.
- Viv Mead

What a great night! I first saw Mick back in the late '80s at the Bristol Hippodrome so have come full circle to the Colston Hall! That time he was supported by Terence Trent D'Arby - brilliant - this time by Kristyna Myles who was fantastic, a cross between all the best bits of Joss Stone and Beth Rowley - great choice of support act. Mick (and all the boys in the band) you really are the best live act. You all looked as though you were having a great time up there, so cool. I could go on and on about what a great concert you put on last night, but no words can possibly do you justice. Well done and I so look forward to the next time. Cx

Fab night in Bristol. Makes it so much more real when the band stopped playing. Such perfectionists!! We were sat in the rear stalls and couldn't believe it when Krystina Miles came and sat amongst us to enjoy the show! Mick invited us to " shake our booty" during the second half of the show, so as not to offend anyone behind ( there were a few moaning minnies by us) we made a run for it down to the front and managed to get right to the front to boogie on down for the rest of the show. My poor hubby was the only man surrounded by girls, not that he was complaining! Have seen Mick and the band loads of times and they just keep on getting better. We did miss Sarah though. Thanks Mick for coming to Bristol, not too far for us to travel. Don't forget about coming to Bath again, any venue will do, my living room, school where I work, the Rec anywhere!!! Sunday night was a fitting 20th Wedding Anniversary pressie! G&J X
- Julia and Gray

Wow what a night, the rehearsal was certainly a night not to miss, I could't believe we were the 4th row from the front, Mick as always delivered perfectly, the only downfall was that it wasn't long enough, sorry Mick but us girls could listen to your voice 24-7!!! Mick many many thnaks for a wonderful evening, you and your wonderful band made my birthday, for a girl that wasn't too sure about the Blues you have certainly made her addicted!! Many thanks for a memorable evening, and all the best for your future concerts and safe travelling Lots of love Kerry xx

12.30 am, and I have just got home from this fabulous evening. I started this month with the gig in Cyprus and now have had another memorable evening here in Bristol. Brilliant performance by Mick and the Band (as usual). loved yur interpretation of BB`s work. Thankyou for the concern shown to the gentleman who was taken ill, your respect was duly noted, well done. Wish I could attend the rest of the tour, but hey ho, work calls. Take care, and hope to see you again soon. xxx
- Ruth

What a great show! I haven't seen Mick sing with this much passion for a long time, so cool, so relaxed and so emotional all in one irresistable bundle. The stage set was fantastic and really added to the intimacy. You could really tell that Mick loves these songs and it was great to see the whole band having such a great time playing them. Thanks guys for a fantastic night out!
- redtribute

I'm only 17 and didn't know what to expect. Mick and the band had an incredible chemistry which blew me away. If you want to see real music you must go! My mum now has a crush on Ian and Dave!!! If you get the chance you must go, it is a million times better than you can imagine. Loved it Thankyou
- Tom

what a fab night in Bristol, both the rehersal gig and the concert last night. it was absolutely amazing. from the very beginning of the night i was absorbed in the music. i wasnt entirely sure what to expect but should have known it would be superb, this is Mick after all. it was a very pleasant surprise to see the 'simply red' band there too. keep it up guys. look forward to seeing you again soon, you can come back to bristol anytime!
- Rachael

Gotta say..what a weekend! rehersal gig was one of the best that i have enjoyed, having seen the guys well over 70 times all over europe and north america, this will always stand out. the banter from mick and the band, watching them working so well together and clearly getting on was a real treat. you get a feel for how the sessions would work at home. nice surprise for a couple or SR songs to make it to the set, my only minor gripe is that these got people standing toward the end, think a lot of people were wary of when to get going with the new stuff. Thought the band were incredibly profesional when they had to stop mid song when a poor bloke seemingly collapsed in the audience and had to be carried away, thoughts go out to you good sir, hope you recover soon. Best bits for me were the guys making mistakes!! being live is what it is all about and the good humoured mickey taking was a joy to see. Dont know about everybody else and this probably sounds weird, but the rehersal gig on sat polarised what a great team effort SR and Mick solo really is. from people like elaine and the girls selling the programmes to the small but massively partisan crowd all feeling like they were part of the performance. loved every minute and can't wait for wolves, manchester, oxford, london, belgium.....! thank you band, crowd and of course..mick. cracking suit by the way.
- alex

What a great night! Mick & band were superb. This is my first time seeing Mick live. Can't wait to see him again! Very impressed that they stopped to make sure a sick man was taken care of before starting the song again. You did BB proud, love the album. Thanx for a most memorable nigh, my husband & I still on a high!

I just thought I would write to thank everyone who helped my father when he was taken ill during the early part of the concert. He is doing fine now. I have been a fan from day one, and my admiration of you as a vocalist, entertainer and true gentleman have been enhanced further. The quality of your vocals during the first two numbers were truly amazing, (as I am sure they were for the whole show) and the respect you showed to my Father as we left the hall was very much appreciated. I would also like to thank your tour manager, who stayed with us to make sure that my father was ok. Rest assured, I will be making every effort to see you perform soon. My thanks also to the other audience members who showed concern to my Father, we can omly apologise for the disruption, but judging by the reviews, I don't think it spoilt anyones enjoyment.
Thanks

I'd gone to the show with a completely open mind as I'd never heard of Bobby 'Blue' Bland before or his music. I have to say I was completely bowled over by the show.
Listening to the video at the start of Mick's set, I'm not sure I could say that I would have enjoyed listening to Boby's records as they are a heavier American blues sound that I'm not really into. But once Mick and the band had put their magic touch to their versions I was amazed at how different and good they sounded.
I'm always a bit dubious of covers as it takes someone special to be able to improve on a massive hit. Mick and the band have done a fantastic album and have certainly done credit to these tracks. The melodies are perfect for Mick's vocal talents and the guys in the band have excelled themselves. The only thing missing on stage was Sarah and Dee, seeing as they did appear on the album.
I understand why Mick has realease the album and tour under his name so as to put more spotlight on the music rather than the band (I am one of those fans that just has to have each new Simply Red album without even hearing any tracks as I know I'll love it anyway!!)
I had a wonderful night at the concert, regardless of the poor man that fell ill during 'I Pity The Fool'. I am sure that everyone wishes him well.
I can't envisage a better way of spending an evening than watching Mick and the guys playing live. Keep it going guys, you are all fantastic.
- Joanna Chase

Flew back from spain to see the man. And what an absolutely amazing concert, at Bristol on 29th June, loved ever minute. Want it to happen ever week, and I think they should put it on the National Health, he makes everyone feel good.
And what a humble man Mick Hucknall is. One man was taken poorly in the audience , and Mick stopped the show, so concerned about the mans well being as he was stretcher out Mick, shouted out his best wishes, and hope he would be on the mend soon.. As big as a star he is, he still thinks of others.
- Dawne - Spain

Wow what a weekend that was, Saturday night at rehearsals, and Sunday at the real thing, I have seen the bad a few times, but that was just so cool, I Like the way you were all dressed the same. The music was fantastic, words just cool, you sound so great. And Mick you did a great job at seeing a chap in trouble in the 3rd row, It was wonderful how you stopped the band again, ( trust all ok with him poor soul). Thanks for coming to Bristol, But when you came to Bath (last year at the REC) that was even better, Enjoy your tour, Hope to see you on the last S.R Tour.
- Zena

Wow!! What a night.
The whole place was buzzing!!! We are still buzzing.
It was great to see Mick in Bristol. We have seen Simply Red now for
many years, & Mick just gets better & better.
Please come back to the South West soon.
