Wow! What a night. As always Mick's voice was amazing and the 'Band' where superb! Not only did he do justice to Bobby Bland, Mick even popped in a couple of Simply Red songs to and the crowd loved it!
Roll on next year when we can hear Mick and Simply Red Brilliance.

Having seen Simply Red at both the NEC and Nottingham Arena it was great to see MH in such a 'small' venue, so much more intimate, and the sound was really excellent, giving a solid feel to the Bobby Bland material.
MH as always was in great voice and seemed really relaxed and happy to be performing BB's songs. He genuinely has a great love for the music and with his band gave one of the best performances we have witnessed at the 'Demontfort' in a long while.
It begs the question that if Mick can play what looks like a tour of the pre - stadium era venues, which we all remember with such fondness, why can't other acts do the same.
The fans, who after all, pay the 'wages' deserve to see their favourites in this type of venue, rather than the huge 'sheds' we have had to endure for the past 25 years.
Well done Mick! I'm sure many other people who attend the shows around the country will agree.

Great show. Simply adds to the great shows since I originally saw Simply Red at the Sugar House in Lancaster all those years ago.
Cannot wait for the tour next year and as a Manchester City fan who grew up in Stretford that is praise indeed!!

The voice of an angel and the tightest band we have had the pleasure to see. Leicester was blessed on this night by being graced with one of the greatest performances from the many acts we have seen over the years. We feel honoured to have been in the audience. Simply Brilliant........

After seeing Mick and the boys in cyprus just over a month ago and having a great night there we decided to get tickets for the Leicester De Montford Hall Bobby Concert. We got a copy of the album before hand to get used to the songs . Every track was a good one. Come the day of the concert ,i was wondering what to expect as he wasnt doing any of the old simply red favourites. The support band played before hand and they were very talented,then came Mick and his band on stage,all very smart in their suites. The night went far to fast for us and one our way home we said that we could have stayed there and listened all night. fantasic music ,fantastic performance from Mick,and his band. Special mention to Kenji for his guitar playing.How I would love to play a guitar like him. Look forward to seeing you all next year for the 25th anniversary tour somewhere.

WE WENT TO DE,MONTFORD HALL IN LEICESTER ON THE 7/7/08 TO SEE A TRIBUTE TO BOBBY, WE DID NOT KNOW QUIET WHAT TO EXPECT, AFTER SEEING SIMPLY RED AT WARWICK CASTLE IN JULY 06 WHICH WAS FANTASTIC. WELL MICK YOU CAME UP TRUMPS AGIAN, WHAT A FANTASTIC SHOW AND A GREAT NIGHT IT WAS ALSO GREAT TO SEE SOME OF THE BAND AS WELL, WE CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO RELEASE YOUR TOUR DATES FOR 09
