Hi Mick Saw your Tribute to Bobby Show last night at Ipswich Regent. What a fantastic show........your voice really suited the music and all the musicians were superb, especially the guitar player!!!!! We were 4 rows from the front so saw you up close and personal..........can't wait for the Simply Red tour next year........when is it??????

Wow! Wow! A million times Wow! What an amazing night. It's taken my husband and I a lot of years to be able to go and see Mick Hucknall and his superb band of musicians but it was so worth the wait. To be able to go to a concert just 40 minutes from where we live was incredible. To be at such an intimate venue made it even more special.
So often live performances do not reach expectations - in this case the show far exceeded ours and we said this morning (or rather I squeaked, for I had lost my voice) that we would put this concert down as one of those real "life time memories". Mick's vocal range is vast, his stage presence magical. Oh god! do I sound like a fan! Good!
Despite a couple of "sound glitches" and the "dancing!!!" girls who marred our view towards the end - the show was truly awesome. The band looked fab in their suits, the stage set was wonderful, the new music fantastic and Mick has so deserved the right to do "his own thing". We can only thank him for bringing us to the music of Bobby Bland although we certainly didn't object to the Simply Red song thrown in for good measure.
My husband had warned me that "if you get up and dance I am leaving" - guess what - he was up first. Ha! Can't wait for 2009 Simply Red Gigs - hopefully again there will be something accessible.

PS Should give a mention to Gloria Wonder who had a difficult job as the warm up act. Beautiful voice, lovely songs.
AS USUAL THE MOST AMAZING SHOW. NEVER DID I THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE MICK HUCKNALL PERFORM AT IPSWICH REGENT, USUALLY AS WE HAVE TO TRAVEL TO THE CAPITAL OR NEC. IT WAS A MAGICAL EVENING MUCH ENJOYED FROM BEGINING TO END. MICKS VOICE JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER EVERY TIME WE SEE HIM. THE BAND WERE SO BRILLIANT TOO ESPECIALLY THE GUITARIST. THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING- LONG MAY YOU CONTINUE PERFORMING!!!!.

What an incredible night – Mick sounded (and looked) absolutely terrific!
We’ve been Simply Red fans for 18 years, and it was great to see them in a small venue only an hour’s drive from where we live. All the Simply Red concerts we’ve been to over the years have been arenas in London, Birmingham or Nottingham.
Mick never disappoints he has a truly beautiful voice and it’s great to see him taking on a project like this. Thanks for introducing us to Bobby Bland.
The band were absolutely brilliant and the atmosphere in the Regent was fantastic.
Can’t wait for the next tour!!!

Simply amazing!! A brilliant evening enhanced by being held in a more intimate venue. It was so good to see Mick enjoying presenting a project that has been such a journey for him.The whole evening was a total success and the band were the cream on the top.Thank you all so much cant wait for next years tour.

This was my first show of the tour and I can't really say what I feel - stunned maybe?? Wonderful from start to finish loved the background film with all the details and great clips of Bobby Bland in performance , plus the band discussing their "vintage" instruments - nice touches which made the show itself even more interesting, seeing how the original idea of the Tribute has developed into this magnificent show.
So a very big thanks to all concerned most of all to Mick himself and his fabulous band! Congratulations!!! Can't wait to see (and hear) what other projects you have lined up for us in the future!!

This concert was Awesome!!! I actually get lost for words when trying to describe this night's experience!! I loved the Cd from the first time I listened to it, however to hear this live is just amazing! I didn't know what to expect, but let me say this..I received far more than I could ever expect! Mick & the Band has really come full circle with this project and It's easily to see that they are loving it! Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Once again what a fantastic night. We were third row from the front and great to have the more intimate venue, visual and sound were superb. The whole band were very eye-catching, brilliant to see a familiar face or two! My congratulations to you all. Look forward to the farewell tour and more solo stuff hopefully, if not, relax & enjoy spending time with your family and drinking your wine!! Thanks very much.
